Midge Lynn ![]() Midge Lynn's work addresses the dynamics of relationships, marrying aesthetic qualities to social content. Using a multitude of mediums and imagery, she explores the liaison between the psychology and humor of humanity. The process is more intuitive than intellectual, the result of which is intended to be interpreted later by both viewer and artist. "My most recent work combines abstraction and figuration, incorporating water-based paint, graphite, charcoal and/or pastel pencils. The work includes the layering of paint, loosely and abstractly. The painted surface call forth and suggest images, which are then drawn over the paint. I find this process very playful and freeing, while addressing the same issues as do my other drawings and oil paintings."
